Center for Student Success and First Year Experience
The CSSFYE offers programs and services that help students adjust to college life and succeed in the classroom. These include academic coaching, peer mentoring, workshops, and help with course selection and registration.
The purpose of the labs is to help students develop their mathematical skills through applied methods. We offer tutoring for all mathematics courses up to Calculus 4. Our labs are staffed with tutors throughout the day. The labs offer a hands-on component that supplements the traditional lectures that students receive in class.
We offer free writing consultation services for UM students. Our highly trained peer consultants work alongside UM students on projects in all disciplines at any stage of the composition process. Our centers provide access to free one-on-one consultations, group workshops, and other writing-focused resources. No matter your home campus, you can make appointments at any of our centers through our online reservation system.
The University of Mississippi Speaking Center offers free public speaking consultation services for UM students. Highly trained peer consultants work alongside UM students on projects in all disciplines. The Center provides free access to one-on-one consultations, group workshops, and other speech communication-focused resources.
Lyceum Locker offers a large variety of free school supplies, including but not limited to, the following: Notebooks, folders, and binders; Paper, sticky notes, and notepads; Pens, pencils, markers, and highlighters; Scantrons; White out and tape; And MORE!
Information Technology Helpdesk
IT Helpdesk supports the core of campus life for faculty, staff, students, and parents alike. Whether you’re preparing for a lecture, tackling assignments, or simply staying connected, our team is dedicated to providing seamless tech support, ensuring your devices are ready for whatever the day brings.
Knowing the final exam schedule early is crucial for college students, especially those utilizing testing accommodations through the SDS Testing Center. Advance awareness allows students to plan their study time effectively, coordinate with instructors, and manage other commitments. For SDS accommodations, early scheduling is essential to ensure availability and proper arrangements.
Being aware of the academic calendar is important for college students because it helps them stay on top of key dates such as registration deadlines, exam periods, holidays, and withdrawal cutoffs. This awareness allows for better planning and time management and helps prevent missed opportunities or penalties that could affect their academic progress.

The Bridge Program
The Bridge program aims to facilitate the transition into college by providing academic and social support to all University of Mississippi students who have been diagnosed with autism. Through mentorship, tutoring, and activities, members are able to navigate higher education with ease.
The library and its team of faculty and staff are here to support students in all their endeavors while at the University; whether it be researching, studying or learning.
Health, Wellness, and Safety Support
The University Counseling Center offers in-person and telemental health services. At the University Counseling Center (UCC), students will find a team of dedicated professionals who strive to offer the best care possible in an atmosphere of acceptance and respect.
The Clinic for Outreach and Personal Enrichment (COPE) serves as the training clinic for the counselor education program at the University of Mississippi. Under the supervision of state licensed counselors, the interns in the clinic provide free mental health care both in person and via telehealth across the state of Mississippi.
Psychological services provides affordable and accessible services to the Mississippi community. We also engage in research that improves treatment across the nation, and provide in-depth training to our skilled staff of clinical graduate students.

William Magee Center for AOD and Wellness Education
The William Magee Center is dedicated to transforming students’ lives by providing education, intervention, and support services to enhance well-being and foster success at the University of Mississippi.
UMatter: Student Support and Advocacy
UMatter: Student Support & Advocacy exists to support students facing a variety of challenges. Students work with case managers to find resources and plan next steps to reach their personal and academic goals.
CASE Confidential Advocacy, Support, and Education
CASE supports the UM community impacted by interpersonal violence, including physical, sexual, verbal, and emotional abuse, as well as stalking and technology-facilitated abuse. Certified campus advocates provide confidential, non-judgmental support and options to empower students to create an individualized plan for healing.
University Police and Campus Safety (UPD)
The three units which compose the University Police Department – patrol, administrative operations, and emergency management – are an integrated team striving to achieve excellence in public safety and to ensure a high quality of student-faculty life by promoting a tranquil, safe atmosphere conducive to the objectives of the University.
The University’s Speech and Hearing Center is dedicated to the assessment and treatment of all individuals with communicative disorders and clinical training of graduate students in speech language pathology. The Center provides the high quality speech-language-hearing services to patients, including UM students, in an effective and efficient manner.
The University of Mississippi Food Pantry seeks to end campus hunger and alleviate poverty by discreetly providing nutritious food products and hygiene products free of charge to students and employees in the Ole Miss community.
The on-campus dining experience at Ole Miss boasts a wide range of dining options, including fast food chains, coffee shops, convenience stores, and full-service dining, each offering something special to the students.

The Career Closet hosted by the Career Center at the University of Mississippi is a program that allows our students to obtain professional attire for career fairs, networking events, internships, interviews, and other career-related occasions. The Closet contains a wide variety of professional dress options that are purchased by or donated to the Career Center.
Student employment in college offers valuable benefits. It helps cover expenses, builds time management skills, and provides work experience that enhances employability. Jobs can also lead to professional connections and help students explore career interests. Overall, working while studying supports both personal and academic growth.
Getting Involved on Campus
Campus Recreation offers programs and facilities for Ole Miss students, faculty, staff, and community members. Structured and unstructured, traditional and nontraditional recreational opportunities are offered throughout the school year.
At Ole Miss, we know how important community service is. When our students, faculty, and staff pitch in, we help strengthen our community, county, state, and even the country. Community service can also help deepen a student’s time in college. It is a great way to create life-long friendships, and volunteer experience can also increase the chances of landing a dream job.
